Descriptive Set Theoretic Methods Applied to Strictly Singular and Strictly Cosingular Operators

The class of strictly singular operators originating from the dual of a separable Banach space is written as an increasing union of ω1 subclasses which are defined using the Schreier sets. A question of J. Diestel, of whether a similar result can be stated for strictly cosingular operators, is studied.

G-frames and Hilbert-Schmidt operators

In this paper we introduce and study Besselian $g$-frames. We show that the kernel of associated synthesis operator for a Besselian $g$-frame is finite dimensional. We also introduce $alpha$-dual of a $g$-frame and we get some results when we use the Hilbert-Schmidt norm for the members of a $g$-frame in a finite dimensional Hilbert space.

f-DERIVATIONS AND (f; g)-DERIVATIONS OF MV -ALGEBRAS

Recently, the algebraic theory of MV -algebras is intensively studied. In this paper, we extend the concept of derivation of $MV$-algebras and we give someillustrative examples. Moreover, as a generalization of derivations of $MV$ -algebraswe introduce the notion of $f$-derivations and $(f; g)$-derivations of $MV$-algebras.Also, we investigate some properties of them.

Multiresolution separated representations of singular and weakly singular operators ✩

For a finite but arbitrary precision, we construct efficient low separation rank representations for the Poisson kernel and for the projector on the divergence free functions in the dimension d = 3. Our construction requires computing only one-dimensional integrals. We use scaling functions of multiwavelet bases, thus making these representations available for a variety of multiresolution algor...
